From the opening instrumental "Where Are We Going," The Gap Band V: Jammin' is a slick, smooth set dominated by some archetypal Gap Band classics. "Shake a Leg" is very typically Gap Band, with a superbly circular rhythm punctuated by bright horns.6/

Gap Band V- Jammin' may not be the bands best album if you like their deep synth growl sound of songs like 'Early In The Morning' or 'Talkin' Back' but its still a pretty good record. 'Shake a Leg' which opens the set is about as funky as it gets here and will delight fans of the aforementioned songs/5(12).
